Why talkinghearts? Artists can express themselves in the most various languages and by the most various means, but art speaks one language: so this project wants to focus on the awareness of the creative process, on the teamwork between the different participating young artists while creating/working but also on stage, and on the common, shared message to deliver to the audience. Each participant or small group, representing one kind of art, has to establish ways to interact with others. It can be codes/hand signs, sensors with some programming, defined space on stage, etc. The final exercise will be to combine them in an improvisation-based show. Through this process we believe (we are convinced) that one can improve his/her own art but also his/her understanding of others (tolerance, etc.), and put positive energy in a participative creative process.
talkinghearts mixes visuals, music and movement. The focus and the main challenge is to strongly inter-connect visuals to the performing activities (more common for dancers and musicians), to initiate all the participants to self-expression in performing arts. In other words, each of the participants should experience the feeling of performing as a jazz man on stage.
talkinghearts is a youth initiative funded by the Youth in Action programme of the European Union and coordinated by Subjective Values Foundation (Budapest, Hungary) in partnership with Associazione culturale Fabbrica Europa (Firenze, Italy), EuroEst Foundation (Bucharest, Romania) and University of Barcelona - LMI (Spain). It brings together 4 groups of young music, media and dance artists from 4 European countries with a diversity of cultural roots, to promote creative European collaboration and social inclusion. Encouraging young people to develop a common vision of a future Europe of cultural diversity as well as concrete artistic, social, intercultural and entrepreneurship skill, talkinghearts is designed and organised by young people who met and worked together in various projects promoted by the ROOTS&ROUTES International network.
Perché talking hearts? Gli artisti possono esprimersi nei linguaggi e con i mezzi più diversi, ma l'arte parla una sola lingua: il progetto è dunque incentrato sulla consapevolezza del processo creativo, sul lavoro di squadra dei giovani artisti partecipanti, sia durante il processo creativo che in scena, e sul messaggio condiviso da trasmettere al pubblico. Ogni partecipante o piccolo gruppo sperimenterà modalità per interagire creativamente con gli altri, siano esse segni, gesti, parole, suoni, sensori o quant'altro. L'esercizio finale consisterà nel combinare queste modalità in una performance basata sull'improvvisazione. Attraverso questo processo crediamo (siamo convinti) che sia possibile migliorare nella propria arte ma anche nella comprensione e tolleranza degli altri, investendo energia positiva in un processo partecipato di creazione.
talking hearts unisce immagini, musica e movimento. La sfida principale consiste nel costruire solide interconnessioni tra elementi audiovisivi e performativi (più familiari a danzatori e musicisti che agli artisti visivi e audiovisivi), stimolando tutti i partecipanti a esprimersi scenicamente. In altri termini, ciascuno deve andare in scena sentendosi come un jazzista in una jam session.
talking hearts è un'iniziativa di giovani sostenuta dal programma Gioventù in Azione dell'Unione Europea e coordinata da Subjective Values Foundation (Budapest, Ungheria) in partenariato con Associazione culturale Fabbrica Europa (Firenze), EuroEst Foundation (Bucarest, Romania) e Università di Barcellona - LMI (Spagna). Riunisce 4 gruppi di giovani musicisti, danzatori e artisti visivi e audiovisivi con diverse radici culturali di 4 paesi europei, con il fine di promuovere la cooperazione e l'inclusione sociale attraverso l'espressione creativa. Incoraggiando i giovani a sviluppare una visione condivisa di un'Europa delle diversità culturali proiettata verso il futuro, ma anche concrete competenze artistiche, sociali, interculturali e auto-imprenditoriali, talking hearts è ideato e organizzato da giovani artisti che si sono conosciuti e hanno lavorato insieme in vari progetti promossi dal network ROOTS&ROUTES International.
