Jan Jelinek _ live Jan is one of the key figures of the international electronica scene and a perfect example of the DJ/producers who have created Berlin's musical history. He is also known as Farben and Gramm, pseudonyms under which he has released fundamental house and electro-minimal records. Phon.o _ dj set Carsten Aermes, the "guy with the full stop in his name", began producing music in the early 90's in the old East Germany. In 1997 he turned up in Berlin, where he established his reputation in 2000 with the release of his first disc on the techno label Cytrax. Next he joined the Shitkatapult crew, the Berlin label founded by T. Raumschmiere, for whom he also designs covers. His latest release Burn Down theTtown (Shitkatapult and Tigerbeat6), with Funkstörung and Kit Clayton on board, confirmed him as a top player on the German electronic scene. It led to appearances from Detroit to Japan. Live, he invites you on sonic voyages made up of vocal samples and obscure sounds, showing the influence of hip hop, dub, dancehall, breakbeats and techno.
Carsten Aermes, il "ragazzo con un punto nel nome", comincia a produrre musica nei primi anni 90 nell'ex Germania dell'Est. Nel '97 approda a Berlino, dove nel 2000 si afferma con la pubblicazione del suo primo disco per l'etichetta techno Cytrax. Successivamente entra nella crew di Shitkatapult, etichetta di Berlino fondata da T. Raumschmiere, per la quale cura anche il design di molte copertine. La sua ultima release Burn Down The Town (su Shitkatapult e Tigerbeat6), con la partecipazione di Funkstörung e Kit Clayton, lo ha confermato uno dei massimi esponenti della scena elettronica tedesca e lo ha portato ad esibirsi da Detroit al Giappone. Dal vivo propone escursioni sonore fatte di samples vocali e oscuri suoni dalle influenze hip hop, dub, dancehall, breakbeats e techno.
Virgilio Villoresi _ vj set Virgilio Villoresi is a visual artist devoted to experimentation, who works in real-time montage, live media and musical projects. His performances grace the programmes of some of the principal Italian electronica festivals (Audiovisiva, Netmage, Station to Station). In his performances he brings together a passion for abstract cinema and animation, the acknowledged influence of the historical avant-gardes, and "found footage" techniques. His set, alongside the two German artists, will be a tissue of quotations, flitting between expressionism and rationalism, about the imaginative urban world of Berlin.
Virgilio Villoresi è un visual artist devoto alla sperimentazione che lavora con montaggi realizzati in tempo reale e live media in collaborazione con progetti musicali. Le sue performance trovano posto nel cartellone di alcuni dei principali festival elettronici italiani (Audiovisiva, Netmage, Station To Station). Nelle sue performance unisce la passione per il cinema astratto e l'animazione a passo uno, le influenze dichiarate nei confronti delle avanguardie storiche e le tecniche di "found footage". Il suo set di accompagnamento ai due artisti tedeschi sarà un gioco di citazioni, tra espressionismo e razionalismo, sull'immaginario urbano di Berlino.

Dj Macit _ dj set Dj Macit A.K.A Dj Madjeeth has been djing since 1990 all around Turkey and he's also having regular gigs in Frankfurt, Florence, Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Alma Ata and Amsterdam. In the past 4 years he has focused much more on his own sound and his production. He's been collaborating with Tony Thomas, Thugfucker, N.U.G, dj Mouse, dr Rex since the beginning of his producing career and they have released together from New Era, Red Ant, Thugfucker, dioxid and sub sonic. He is also a part of the N.U.G Istanbul. They do remix for major popstars in Turkey. His radio career has started on radio 2019. Since then he became resident in every major radio station and he is also doing regular gigs in Crystal Club in Istanbul.
Dj Macit, conosciuto anche come Dj Madjeeth, ha iniziato a lavorare come dj nel '90 nei principali club turchi (soprattutto il mitico Crystal Club di Istanbul) e con frequenti performance nei club di Francoforte, Sofia e Amsterdam. Negli ultimi anni ha focalizzato la ricerca attorno alla definizione di un sound personale e inconfondibile attraverso produzioni originali. Frequenti le collaborazioni con Tony Thomas, Thugfucker, dj Mouse e Dr Rex su label come New Era, Red Ant e Sub Sonic. Macit è anche parte del collettivo N.U.G con cui ha prodotto remix per importanti musicisti turchi. La sua carriera radiofonica è iniziata sulle frequenze di radio 2019 ed è proseguita in tutte le più importanti emittenti del paese.

Dj Hugo Chavez & Vj Ahmedinejad: No Exotic, Gegen Die Bridge_ mixed media live Dj Hugo Chavez & Vj Ahmedinejad make up a new multimedia project born between Tehran, Istanbul and Caracas. Their aim is to investigate cultural clichés and their effects on the global political and economic situation in a situationist re-use of mass pop culture. Their exploration focuses on a reading of the contemporary media landscape, on the role of advertising and on the power of the corporation, without neglecting paradigms like that of intellectual property. The enquiry unfolds through a deconstruction of 60's and 70's Turkish film, with the intention of subverting contemporary stereotypes, spun in an audio-visual kaleidoscope with explosive power.
Dj Hugo Chavez & Vj Ahmedinejad sono un nuovo progetto multimediale nato tra Tehran, Istanbul e Caracas con lo scopo di investigare i clichés culturali e i loro effetti sulla situazione politica ed economica globale in un ri-uso situazionista della cultura pop di massa. La loro ricerca si focalizza sulla lettura del paesaggio mediale contemporaneo, sul ruolo della pubblicità e sul potere delle corporation ma non trascura paradigmi come quelli della proprietà intellettuale. L'indagine viene svolta decostruendo film turchi degli anni '60 e '70 con l'intento di sovvertire gli stereotipi correnti, centrifugati in un caleidoscopio audiovisivo dal potere deflagrante.
Mercan Dede _ dj set featuring Tanya Evenson Mercan Dede and his alter ego DJ Arkin Allen, are at the cutting edge of the Turkish musical scene, and have already appeared at festivals such as Montreal Jazz, World Roots in Holland and Rhythm Sticks in England. With projects like East Meets West, Montreal Tribal Trio and Womex he has already won over world music audiences in Germany, France and Spain. He has many collaborations to his name, with artists like Peter Murphy, Natacha Atlas and Omar Sosa. Mercan Dede has also composed music for Pina Bausch's production Istanbul, which was staged in 2003. At the moment he is involved in the dance project Orman Sehir (Jungle City). Canadian dancer Tanya Evanson will accompany dj Arkın Allen on the stage, with her hypnotising, spiritual whirling performance, inspired from the sufi dance of the dervishes.
Mercan Dede e il suo alter ego DJ Arkin Allen sono le punte di diamante della scena musicale turca, già protagonisti di festivals come Montréal Jazz, World Roots in Olanda e Rhythm Sticks in Inghilterra. Pixelbirds_mixed media live Pixelbirds is a collective of visual artists and designers, comprising Alex Zitzman and Silvana Catazine, young Brazilians transplanted to Barcelona. Working with video animation and real-time mixing, the group experiments with expanded cinema techniques, which produce new audio-visual experiences. Their live performances have been hosted by major Spanish events including OFFF (International Festival of Digital Art and Electronic Music) and BAC (Contemporary Art Barcelona).
Pixelbirds sono un collettivo di visual artists e designer composto da Alex Zitzmann e Silvana Catazine, due giovani brasiliane di San Paolo trapiantate a Barcellona. Lavorando con video animazioni e mixaggi in tempo reale il gruppo sperimenta tecniche di cinema espanso utili per nuove esperienze audiovisive. Le loro live performances sono state ospitate dai principali eventi spagnoli come OFFF (Festival Internacional de Arte Digital y Música Electrónica) e BAC (Barcelona Arte Contemporáneo).

DJ Shantel _ dj set Stefan Hantel, the multifaceted musician and producer - king of the Balkan dancefloor (Mondomix), was the winner of the 2006 BBC Award, taking first place in the European World Music Chart. His style mixes the magic of Eastern music with hi-tech beats. His music unites different ages, groups and nationalities in a multi-cultural fusion that he has performed in incendiary nights at the Berlin State Opera House and the Brixton Academy in London. Shantel plays as resident DJ in many cities (Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and Istanbul among others).
Stefan Hantel, il poliedrico musicista e produttore - king of the Balkan dancefloor (Mondomix), è stato il vincitore del BBC Award 2006, raggiungendo il primo posto della World Music Charts europea. Il suo inebriante stile ha saputo mixare la magia della musica dell'Est con il battito hi-tech. La sua è musica che unisce diverse età, gruppi e nazionalità in modo multi-culturale, protagonista di infuocate notti allo State Opera House di Berlino e alla Brixton Academy di Londra. Shantel suona come dj residente in numerose città (Berlino, Vienna, Zurigo Istanbul, solo per citarne alcune).
Selfish _ vj set Selfish is Giovanni Antignano's live video performance. His sets are based on the obsessive processing of loop video and on the layering of visual sources ad infinitum. Over the years he has worked in various collectives like BlindVision with Graziano Staino, with the conceptual artists Timet on many sound-installations, and Fish-tank on digital artwork. He has taken part in innumerable international events (MAF05 Bangkok, Israeli Digital Lab, West Coast Nu Music Electronic Art, Biennal of Electronic Art Perth). He has collaborated with artists like Marco Parente, Lorenzo Brusci, David Cossin and Ether. His set will be a tribute to the cinematic imagination of East Europe.
Selfish è il progetto di Giovanni Antignano focalizzato sulle video live performances. I suoi set si basano sull'ossessiva elaborazione dei loop video e sulla stratificazione dei flussi visivi portati fino all'esasperazione. Negli anni ha lavorato in vari collettivi come BlindVision con Graziano Staino, i concettuali Timet con cui ha realizzato molte installazioni sonore e Fish-tank per l'arte digitale. Ha preso parte ad innumerevoli manifestazioni internazionali (MAF05 Bangkok, Israeli Digital Lab, Weast Coast Nu Music Electronic Art, Biennal of Electronic Art Perth) collaborando con artisti come Marco Parente, Lorenzo Brusci, David Cossin, Ether e altri. Aardvark: "Cult Copy"_ live Over the years, dj Aardvarck (Mike Kivits) has built a solid reputation on the international dance scene based on quality without compromise. From the early 80s his capacity to mix every musical genre, from Hip Hop to Disco, from Funk to Jazz, has catapulted him into the best of the electronic avant-garde. His sound is a hybrid of broken beat, house and techno, inspired by the Detroit school and electronic new wave.
Nel corso degli anni, dj Aardvarck (Mike Kivits) ha saputo costruirsi una solida reputazione basata su una qualità senza compromessi nella scena dance internazionale. Rednose Di strikt _ dj set Rednose Distrikt is the project created by two of the most famous and talented Dutch producers: Aardvarck and Steven de Peven. They define themselves as two funky clowns who love to experiment with a hybrid sound emerging from their fusions of broken-beat, off-side techno, soul and sampled jazz. Their artistic formula combines a series of electronic experiment based on the cut up technique with a playful spirit of adaptation and plagiarism. In essence their sound can be described as 'slapstick electro'.
Rednose Distrikt è il progetto creato da due dei più noti e talentuosi produttori olandesi: Aardvarck e Steven de Peven. Pipslab: "Out" _ visual show PIPS:lab is a collective of young Dutch artists recognised in recent years as one the of the most exciting developments in performative electronica. Irreverent, silly and unpredictable, the driving force of their work lies in contact and direct experience with their live audience. They come from different artistic disciplines and use the computer as a mixer that combines different performance languages and technically advanced visuals, all dressed with a huge dose of humour.

A smile for Timbuctu _ live The Florence-based electro-artists Cristiano Crisci and Simone Brillarelli make up A Smile For Timbuctu. Their EP Manuele Atzeni (available for free download from www.audiaubergine.com) is one of the best micromusic releases of recent times and confirms the group as one of the Italian groups to watch, as small as it is interesting. Their activity includes live performance (a recent UK tour was hugely successful), gallery installations and university workshops.
Cristiano Crisci e Simone Brillarelli sono gli A Smile For Timbuctu, duo di elettro artisti con sede a Firenze. Il loro EP Manuele Atzeni, scaricabile gratuitamente da www.audiaubergine.com, è una delle migliori uscite di micromusic degli utlimi tempi e conferma il gruppo come una delle realtà italiane da seguire con maggior attenzione, tanto piccola quanto interessante. All'attivo hanno esibizioni live (con un recente tour inglese di gran successo), performance, installazioni in gallerie e workshop universitari.
Scary Grant _ dj set Scary Grant is Giulio Andreini. His musical career began at the end of the 90s when he toured Italian and European clubs as a photographer for magazines like Orbeat, Rockerilla and Groove Magazine. He made his reputation as the co-founder, with Francesco Parra, of the Eclat project, with which he played in the most important Italian and European clubs. Eclat also made singles for significant foreign labels (PIAS, Music For Freaks, Trapez, Morris Audio) and participated in the major Italian festivals (Sintesi, Dissonanze, Distorsonie, Arezzo Wave). His sound is an elegant and absolutely irresistible variant of glitch and tech-house.

Influx _ vj set Influx is the project of Federico Fiori and Francesca Lenzi. Begun in 2003, it moves between video art, visuals, live performance and photography, experimenting with the artistic possibilities offered by digital technology. The duo intermixes styles and techniques, searching for unknown forms of expression. Their work is an investigation of the everyday, 'the real', and the interpretation to which the human psyche subjects it. Melting, decomposing and intermixing images arrive at a primary essence, transforming them into a 'fluid continuum' in which everything changes and regenerates, assuming a new meaning. Reality becomes image and image becomes reality.
Influx è il progetto di Federico Fiori e Francesca Lenzi.
